Hello all! Hope you all are doing well as the summer is winding down and we are transitioning into fall. Time goes so fast, and the seasons and years seem to go even faster. But I hope you all did something amazing this summer. If not, you still have a few more weeks! Comment below if you did something amazing this summer and want to share.
Also, I have prayer journals available for any donation amount. A prayer journal is a great thing to have. It is nice to keep record of your thoughts and prayers and reflect on them when prayers are answered. All donations go to families experiencing loss or families when an infant in the NICU.
Zachary, my mom, and I went to Turks and Caicos! It was just a memorable vacation, and I am so glad God provided us the opportunity to go. Without him blessing us, we would not be able to go. But he wanted us to experience his beauty and rest in a different way. In the morning, that was my quiet and intimate time with God. As I walked along the beach and saw the sunrise, I was amazed at the vast beauty of God’s creation. As I walked, I would close my eyes and hear waves crashing on the shore. I would hear the birds chirping. I would feel the breeze on my skin and blowing through my hair.
Life is so busy and so crazy, and we get so caught up in the craziness. The hustle and bustle are draining, and we become depleted. It is difficult to slow down and appreciate God’s handy-work. Much of my healing from my past trauma has taken place outdoors. I am not suggesting you go to an island, but if you are able, it is a great opportunity. For it was as simple as going for a bike ride or a walk in the park provided me the ability to unplug and let God through nature heal me.
I challenge you to unplug even if it is for 20 minutes and go for a walk. Look at the flowers. Listen to the birds. Feel the sun and breeze on your skin. Comment below if you would like to share your experience.
